Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps
I'd like to chronicle my new diet! These dishes are quite tasty and healthy, too!
On today's menu:
Lean ground beef lettuce wraps.
What I used:
- Lean ground beef
- Butter lettuce ("living lettuce")
- Dried oregano
- Dried basil
- White onion (diced)
- Garlic powder
- Ground pepper
- Pinch of sea salt
- Cherry tomatoes
- Green onion
- Parmesan cheese
- Pace Pacante sauce (mild)
- Parsley
What I did:
1. Browned the ground beef.
2. As it was browning, added the white onion, pinch of sea salt and pepper, garlic powder, oregano, and basil. Stir.
3. Simmer the meat. Cut up the tomatoes and green onion. Washed the lettuce.
4. After about 10 minutes, added the ground beef on the lettuce, then added some Pace pacante sauce (so it wouldn't be dry). Then add tomatoes, green onions, and parmesan cheese to your liking. Wrap and enjoy
Additional info:
Add some Spanish rice on the side, it tastes delicious!
